Welcome to Good Neighbors!
For more than 30 years, Good Neighbors has served Rhode Islanders experiencing food insecurity. First located in Bristol as a once-a-week soup kitchen, we have since moved to East Providence and serve hot meals every weekday through our Community Kitchen and distribute groceries through our ever-growing Food Pantry. We also offer meal and grocery delivery for the most vulnerable residents of East Providence.
Good Neighbors’ work is made possible by a very small staff, more than 60 dedicated volunteers, an active Board of Directors, and countless donors and community partners.

Support Our Work
As many as 30% of East Providence households are likely to experience food insecurity at least once a year. Most experts project an increase in food insecurity over the next year if not longer. With your help, we can close the gap between our neighbors’ needs and means by providing access to nutritious food.

Our Impact on the Community
In 2023, Good Neighbors served more than 13,740 hot meals, welcomed more than 4,050 visitors to our food pantry, and assisted 700 local families.
